This past week, the Ringing of the Bell Ceremony honoring fallen Florida firefighters took place at the Fallen Firefighter Memorial, Florida State Capitol. Chief Financial Officer of the State of Florida, Blaise Ingoglia and Director of the Florida State Fire Marshal's Office, JoAnne Rice presided over this year’s memorial service.
All firefighters honored sadly passed away from cancer. An unfortunate, ever-present reminder of the leading cause of firefighter line-of-duty death. The work taking place to address and mitigate firefighter cancer is incredibly important. All of us at United Badges send our heartfelt sympathy to the firefighters honored at this year’s memorial and their families. We are incredibly grateful for their service.”
