John Mina, Orange County Sheriff gave blood earlier today during the Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) Blue Blood Drive 2022.

The national blood drive honors law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty and their loved ones.

Mina gave blood in honor of Orange County Deputy Sheriff Michael Anthony Callin, who was killed in the line of duty in 2006. Callin was working traffic detail when a driver aimed his vehicle at Deputy Callin, and intentionally struck him. Deputy Callin died on August 2, 2006.
